March to April Autumn brings unusually stable weather
Autumn is the time of year you are least likely to be bothered by rain and/or strong winds. In general terms the onset of cool weather and shorter days result in subdued fishing but by properly reading the conditions and taking advantages of appropriate venues memorable sport can usually be found. Put simply.... autumn fishing can be as good as any providing you have access to local knowledge and experience.
Apart from polaroiding, English loch-style fishing, meadow stream sport and wind lane opportunities there may even be a few special highlights such as jassid falls.
May to August
While year-round fishing is permitted in a number of venues, the weather is likely to be bitter and unfavourable and the fishing is mediocre. Our advice is to try and plan your fishing holiday for a more exciting time of year.
