Lisa Hayes

Lisa grew up on a sheep and cattle farm in Gippsland, Victoria. She has always had a great love of the outdoors and wilderness environments. Her interest in fly fishing was spawned in 1991 when she lived in Alaska for a two year period. It was here Lisa worked as an assistant chef for one of the major lodges, Alaska Rainbow Lodge. Most free time was spent fishing and hunting in this remarkable environment.

Since the start of the 1996 season Lisa has been residing in Tasmania and providing the 'off the water' support for our business. Lisa is usually the first point of contact for many of our clients. Her friendly, courteous manner, efficiency in office related matters, and knowledge of fly fishing ensure she is well liked and respected. She loves, and excels at, cooking and is a detail person. I'm sure her delicious and now world famous chocolate brownies have something to do with our large repeat clientele.

In the past couple of years Lisa has been instrumental in developing and running our beginners fly casting courses around Australia. Her no nonsense, common sense approach to fly fishing combined with a relaxed but comprehensive teaching technique has placed her at the top of the field in this teaching discipline.

Lisa regularly teaches and demonstrates casting at major Australian tackle shows.
