Graham Davis
Graham developed a boyhood passion for fishing in Far North Queensland and held both state and national junior Australian National Sportfishing Association records. These included both freshwater and saltwater species but his real love even at this early stage was spin fishing the pristine rainforest streams.
After moving to Tasmania in 1988 Graham took up trout fishing, initially spinning for trout but then converting exclusively to fly fishing. He has fished all over the highlands but has spent the majority of his time on Arthur's Lake, which is his favourite water. Graham is an active member of the Kingborough Anglers Association and has been their leading angler in club competitions for two of the past three years. He is also a regular contributor to their club newsletter. When not guiding Graham works for the Tasmanian Education Department as a teacher and counsellor. This has included running fly fishing courses for groups of students. He has also done some work for the Hobart Coroner's Office as a grief counsellor. His love of fly fishing and ability as a teacher are very helpful in instructing and working with clients. Graham has degrees in Law and Arts and has a Masters degree in Education specialising in Counselling and Development. Read about one of Graham's intrepid experiences Making a splash
